Meanwhile, Laryea joins the company as an audit manager, bringing prior professional experience across internal controls, risk evaluation and stakeholder relations.

The additions strengthen the Belfast-based accountancy practice’s existing service capabilities for clients located across the UK, Ireland, Australia and the US.
Commenting on the appointments, Sumer NI managing partner Brian Clerkin said: “The role of audit is changing rapidly and having a firm understanding of business operations and the wider landscape has never been more essential to delivering a high-quality service to our corporate audit clients.
“Audit is one of our key services, and our team brings a broad range of experience and knowledge across many aspects of the function, which enables us to provide clients with strategic insight that goes far beyond compliance.
“These latest appointments will further reinforce our capabilities, ensuring that we continue to offer a comprehensive, proactive and commercially focused service to businesses across a wide range of sectors and marketplaces.”
With an audit team of 44 members, Sumer NI offers its services to small and medium-sized enterprises, owner-managed businesses, large groups and foreign direct investment entities.
