Morison International member firm and association of regional firms MHA MacIntyre Hudson (MHA) has left the organisation to become Baker Tilly International UK member firm.
The move is effective as of 7 October 2014 and improves Baker Tilly International’s position in the UK after losing Baker Tilly UK to RSM earlier in the year.
According to the International Accounting Bulletin 2013 UK survey, MHA and its association of 9 regional firms in the UK earned £103m ($m) in annual revenues in 2013, which is substantially less than the Baker Tilly UK’s £170m.
"MHA MacIntyre Hudson has demonstrated a very successful track record, notably by increasing their revenues in a difficult market by nearly 30% over the last five years," Baker Tilly International chief executive Geoff Barnes said.
Morison International chief executive Liza Robbins said the association will "prioritise the recruitment of a new quality UK member firm and will keep members up-to-date on developments".
Robbins added that Morison International is in contact with a number of UK member firms interested in becoming members of the association.
