Wbg said that it has also supported ten work experience placements this year.

It also recently launched a pilot school leaver/graduate apprentice programme with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and Robert Gordon University.

Wbg partner and People & Culture head Victoria Kirkhope explained that the company’s continued investment in the next generation reflects its commitment to providing valuable opportunities and supporting career development.

Kirkhope said: “With an emphasis on a skills-based mindset and recruiting for potential, we have committed significant investment into the creation of an environment where people can chart their own career journeys.

“Our commitment to early stage training and continuous professional development is helping us lay out clear, transparent career paths for everyone in the business.

“At Wbg trainees will find the support, opportunities and culture to unlock their full potential and shape the future of becoming one of the UK’s leading professional services firms.

“We are very excited about the future and the talented individuals that will help us deliver what comes next.”

In May, Wbg advised that growing numbers of families may fall into the Inheritance Tax (IHT) net and should consider seeking professional advice.

HMRC data showed that IHT revenues reached a record $10.84bn (£8.2bn) in the 2024–25 tax year, up from £7.5bn.

Rising property and asset values, combined with frozen thresholds, were cited as key factors.
