DJH (previously known as DJH Mitten Clarke) has announced Matt Orange as head of indirect tax for the accountancy and business advisory group.

Orange has been recruited to the newly created role to support the tax team across the group.

Responsible for indirect taxes and primarily VAT and SDLT advice, he will provide clients with expert guidance and supporting the tax team with his extensive knowledge and experience in tax law and compliance.

Speaking about his new role, Orange said: “I’m thrilled to join DJH in their Tax department at an exciting time for the Group. The brand-new role allows me to expand my expertise and contribute to the firm’s continued success in navigating complex tax transactions.”

DHJ tax director, Michael Burgess, added: “Appointing Matt comes after extensive development of our tax department and supporting the Group’s ambitions. The role will be fundamental in driving strategic advice, enhancing our client services, and building our position as a leader in tax advisory.”

The new appointment comes following DJH’s six acquisitions in 2023, which saw the team swell to more than 480 across its twelve offices across the Midlands, North-West and Yorkshire.

Additionally, the Group recently announced their partnership with Staffordshire based HR firm, Innov8 Human Resources.
