It added that the system brings to smaller practices automated tax return preparation that “the largest firms in the country have run in production for the last three tax seasons”.

The technology processes source documents submitted in any format and generates returns for inspection.

Each figure is linked to its original source, and any sections requiring attention are highlighted.

However, the company noted that the accounting professionals continue to hold ultimate sign-off authority on all work.

The release is aimed at the independent practices that constitute the majority of the profession.

The platform also integrates natively with Intuit ProConnect Tax and Intuit Lacerte.

Completed returns flow directly into those applications, allowing firms to retain their existing software infrastructure.

The company said that firms operating on ProConnect Tax will receive transition support from both Intuit and Black Ore.

Black Ore co-founder and CEO Eyal Shinar said: “Black Ore for Small Firms puts powerful automation directly into the hands of smaller firms, seamlessly integrated into the software they already use.

“By making cutting-edge AI technology accessible, it levels the playing field, empowering smaller firms to compete with larger firms without the traditional disadvantages of scale and resources.”
