DJH acquires Gooding Accounts in UK

Accountancy and professional services group DJH has expanded into the South West of England through the acquisition of Gooding Accounts.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

DJH CEO Scott Heath said: “We have been deliberately building our national footprint in regions where we know we can add real value to local businesses and their advisers.

“The South West has been firmly on our radar, and Gooding Accounts is exactly the kind of practice we look for – technically strong, client-focused and with a culture that matches our own.”

The Wiltshire-based practice was established in 2014 by Sam Gooding. It offers accountancy services to start-ups, established businesses, owner-managers and ‘fast-growing’ disrupters.

The practice moved its operational base to the White Horse Business Park in July last year.

Following the transaction, Sam and Katy Gooding will continue at the head of the Gooding Accounts team to maintain operational continuity.

They will also oversee the addition of new service capabilities such as corporate finance, research and development tax credits, and wills and estate planning.

As a result of the deal, clients of Gooding Accounts will also benefit from DJH’s resources, specialist teams, technology and infrastructure.

DJH currently employs almost 900 staff across 20 offices in the UK and Ireland.
