In his new position, he will help develop Bishop Fleming’s audit services in Birmingham, support its growing client base and strengthen relationships with businesses and intermediaries across the region.

Kurowski will also work to bolster Bishop Fleming’s presence among owner-managed and mid-market businesses in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

He has more than 25 years of experience in industry and professional practice, during which he advised owner-managed businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises, international groups and private equity-backed entities.

Kurowski said: “Bishop Fleming’s move into Birmingham has gained huge momentum and attracted some very experienced people from across the Birmingham market.

“The local accountancy market has changed considerably in recent years, with consolidation among firms and some becoming increasingly national in their focus.

“I think that has created a real opportunity for Bishop Fleming, particularly among owner-managed and mid-market businesses that really value close, long-term relationships with their advisers.

“We have the breadth and expertise to support businesses as they grow, while retaining that personal approach.”

Bishop Fleming opened its Birmingham office in January 2025.

Since then, its team has grown to nearly 40 people. The latest appointment also takes the number of partners to ten, including three dedicated to the audit service line.

Bishop Fleming Birmingham office lead and partner Mark Taylor said: “Paul has a brilliant track record in the West Midlands, with deep experience of the regional market and a strong reputation for working with owner-managed and growing businesses.

“He shares our ambition for long-term growth, and together we have plans to continue to build a team that is deeply rooted in the local area.

“Birmingham is a strategically important market for Bishop Fleming, and Paul’s appointment is another significant step forward in delivering the capabilities and expertise that our clients value as they grow.”
