(FREE) Brian Eaton has succeeded Kim
Hutchinson as chairman of global accountancy network RSM
International. His role will involve providing strategic guidance
on governance of the network, the provision of services by its
member firms and to grow the network in target markets.

Eaton is the managing partner of the
Johannesburg office of RSM Betty & Dickson and a member of
several regulatory authorities in South Africa, including the South
African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Independent
Regulatory Board for Auditors.

Within RSM International, Eaton has served on
the board, the RSM International Policy Committee and is the
regional director for Africa.

“With my passion and dedication to providing
clients with exceptional service, I hope to sustain RSM’s
commitment to the highest standards,” Eaton said.

RSM International chief executive Jean
Stephens said: “His commitment to the development of the
accountancy profession together with his long history with RSM will
serve our members and our clients. Brian’s leadership skills,
enthusiasm and drive will contribute to the success of our member
and correspondent firms going forward.”

Eaton will serve a two year term.
