KPMG International chairman Michael Andrew made four appointments to the networks leadership team which will be effective from 1 October 2011.
Alan Buckle has been named KPMG International deputy chairman. He will be based in London and will be in charge of executing KPMG’s global strategy, with an emphasis on market development. Since 2008, Buckle has been KPMG’s advisory practice global head.
Mark Goodburn has been appointed KPMG global head of advisory. Currently, Goodburn is US vice chair of advisory and strategic investment, leads advisory in the Americas region, serves on the US firm’s management committee and, sits on KPMG’s Global Advisory Steering Group.
Greg Wiebe has been appointed KPMG global head of tax. Wiebe most recently served as the managing partner of KPMG Canada’s tax practice He was also a member of KPMG’s Canadian management committee and of KPMG’s International Tax Steering Group.
Hideyo Uchiyama has been appointed KPMG Asia Pacific chairman. Uchiyama is currently chairman and chief executive of KPMG Japan and is a member of the KMPG Global Board and Global Executive Team, as well as the Asia Pacific Board.
