Press release by BDO – BDO is pleased to announce the appointment of BDO WTS Limited Partnership as our new independent member firm in Aruba, a former territory of BDO Dutch Caribbean.
The appointment of BDO WTS as a separate BDO entity reflects the size of the Aruba market and is in alignment with BDO’s global strategic ambition and growth plans, further strengthening the BDO brand in the Caribbean region.
Established in 2006 as a tax and legal services firm, following expansion in 2009, the new BDO Aruba is now focused on assurance, advisory, tax and legal services, providing specialist advice to local and international clients. The firm’s particular strength is in the consumer business and leisure industry, as well as luxury retail, financial services, public sector and pharmaceuticals. Their impressive list of local and international clients includes listed companies and international fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Michael Kors.
Since its establishment, the firm has maintained a vision for growth and excellence in service and is committed to investing significantly in new infrastructure in anticipation of future growth. BDO WTS counts a total of 18 professionals, including 3 partners, and the firm has recently moved to an iconic historic office building located in a prime location on Aruba’s main boulevard.
Managing partner Cari Wolter is delighted to see the firm that she founded becoming part of an established global network: “As part of BDO, we will be able to grow our business and strengthen our position in the local market, as well as benefit from referrals to global clients. Our values are very much aligned with BDO’s and we will continue to build strong business relationships in order to provide added value to our clients. We firmly believe that the BDO network, whose vision is to be the leader for exceptional client service, is the perfect match for us. We are all looking forward to working with our BDO colleagues worldwide.”
Keith Farlinger, BDO’s CEO Americas, is pleased that a firm with an impressive international client base and a reputation for strong local market knowledge is joining BDO: “This new firm is a welcome addition to a vibrant BDO region that has grown significantly in recent years. Already very successful locally, BDO WTS wishes to expand its business by joining a strong global network and we look forward to a new chapter for BDO in Aruba,” he says. BDO Dutch Caribbean will continue to cover the territories of Curacao, St Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and St Eustatius.
