Baker Tilly International has announced the appointment of TPA in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia as independent members of the network, effective 1 January 2017. The appointment follows the departure of the network’s former member firms in these countries on 31 December 2016. The three new firms were already closely collaborating with the network through their membership of the Baker Tilly Europe Alliance.
Commenting on the development, Baker Tilly International CEO and President Ted Verkade said: “I’m delighted to welcome TPA in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia as independent members of the network. These are ambitious firms whose goals are closely aligned with our own ambition. I am confident that now that they have moved from alliance membership to full membership, each will play an important role in the further development of our network in the region in the years to come”.
TPA in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia are part of the TPA Group which is active in 11 countries across Central and South East Europe. TPA in Austria is also an independent member of Baker Tilly International. In the seven remaining countries where Baker Tilly International has, and will continue to have, existing independent members – Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia – TPA Group firms are independent members of the Baker Tilly Europe Alliance, which closely collaborates with the Baker Tilly International network.
