Press release by Baker Tilly International – Gonzalo Hordeñana has been appointed Latin American Regional Chairman for Baker Tilly International, effective immediately.
As the founding partner of Baker Tilly Uruguay*, Gonzalo has been involved with the development of the Latin America region for many years. In his role as regional chairman, Gonzalo will be working closely with full-time regional director, Donny Donosso, to co-ordinate and develop business between member firms.
Commenting on his appointment, Gonzalo said: "I am very happy to accept this exciting new challenge. We have a very strong and united group of firms that is committed to delivering consistent client services. It’s an exciting time for the region as we have seen a 50% increase in revenues in the past five years and every firm is committed to building on this success".

About Gonzalo Hordeñana
Gonzalo Hordeñana is a public accountant who holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Universidad de la República, Uruguay. He started his professional career as an accounting assistant for Bakirgian Uruguay, then moved to Intercontinental Bank (Miami) as a credit analyst and later working within the private banking services department. Gonzalo then joined Natwest International Trust Corporation (Uruguay) as a controlling manager.
In 1986, Gonzalo founded Hordeñana & Asociados, a stock brokerage company, domiciled in Montevideo, Uruguay, which provides financial advisory services to clients from Uruguay and abroad.
