Press release by AGN International – Schaffer & Partner announces they have new division in their offices, the Turkish Desk, in addition to the existing Asian and Russian Desks. The head of Turkish desk will be Mr. Alper Özmert, who is a native Turkish speaker. Opening of the Turkish Desk is a very important step for the firm. Along with the new Desk, they will extend ties to the world and primarily to Turkey. The Turkish Desk will be focusing on among others, international trade in all sectors as well as establishing new business relationships, arranging or providing all kinds of advisory services such as market researches business development and project management, legal, tax, audit and accountancy services in Turkey and Czech Republic.
Alper graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law in 2002. He has studied master program at University of Minnesota Law School, in the U.S.A. and was granted LL.M. title in international business law in 2010.
Alper mainly specialized in international business law, FDI, Mergers and Acquisitions, contracts law, financial law, employment law, copyright and IP law, entertainment law and commercial litigation.
During his professional career, Alper provided services mainly to multi-national clients, involved in numerous international transactions, among others, important cross-border mergers & acquisitions, start-ups by multinational companies, and domestic and multinational film productions. Furthermore, he provided services to multinational companies and organizations, in particular, in business law and business development matters.
Throughout his career, Alper gave numerous seminars to his clients and in international organizations, in business law, contracts law, international transactions and business development. He also played a substantial role for the drafting of the secondary legislation on factoring companies and Association of Financial Institutions in Turkey. He has been admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association and Turkish Bar Association in 2003.
He speaks Turkish and English fluently, he speaks German at intermediate level and Czech at beginner level.
