PwC UK has stated that since 2007, the firm has cut its overall carbon footprint by nearly 30% and it will now aim to reduce it by a further 40% by 2022.
PwC UK chairman and senior partner Kevin Ellis said: “Reducing our carbon footprint has also had financial benefits, showing that economic success and doing the right thing can go hand-in-hand.”
One of the key areas where PwC UK reduced the carbon footprint is the energy consumption in the firm offices. The firm also reduced business travelling and made investments and arrangements allowing people to connect online anywhere, anytime.
