PKF International has added Scottish firm Johnston Carmichael as its second UK network member.
Carmichael has annual revenues of £33m, 53 partners and 550 staff working across 11 offices in Scotland.
While joining PKF International Johnston Carmichael said it will remain a member of Leading Edge Alliance. It is very uncommon for network member firms to also be part of an association.
PKF International chief executive John Sim said: "We are delighted to welcome Johnston Carmichael to the PKF International network as our second new firm following the admission of PKF Littlejohn at the beginning of July. Johnston Carmichael’s strong focus on ‘people and relationships’ fit perfectly with the ethos of the network and also meets our strategic objective to recruit firms with significant practices that cover the main UK commercial cities."
PKF International was left without a UK member firm after the network’s founding member PKF UK merged with BDO UK earlier in the year.
Johnston Carmichael and PKF Littlejohn are nowhere near the size of the former PKF UK firm (annual revenues of £103m); however PKF is likely to rebuild its UK coverage with several member firms.
