KPMG has appointed a global Islamic finance leadership team to support its growing Islamic finance practise.
The team is being headed by Samer Hijazi of KPMG UK, and features six other partners from the Middle East, Malaysia and South Africa.
The firm said the team is intended to aid closer coordination of service teams in the development of Islamic finance products and services.
KPMG global chairman of financial services Jeremy Anderson said: "Islamic finance and its principles of fair dealing are becoming more and more globalised. This leadership team will leverage our member firms’ insights and expertise in Islamic finance."
