Grant Thornton has acquired Navigant, a financial services advisory firm in the UK.

Navigant specialises in retail financial services, with a particular focus on challenger banks, and has a staff of 45 including three partners.

Grant Thornton chief executive Scott Barnes said the financial services sector is a core investment area for the firm.
