Anthony Appleton, currently BDO UK financial reporting advisory director, has been appointed director of accounting and reporting at the UK Financial Reporting Council (FRC), starting January 2014.

In this role, he will be responsible for the delivery of standards and related guidance to support the FRC mission to promote high quality corporate reporting and foster investment.
