Deloitte has opened an office in Rwanda’s capital Kigali as part of Deloitte East Africa practice.

The firm in Rwanda will offer assurance, consulting, financial, tax and risk advisory services to clients in both the private and public sectors.

Deloitte East Africa practice also has offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

"This expansion brings together all these practices to provide seamless cross-border services to clients in the region," the Big Four firm said.

Deloitte Africa chief executive officer Lwazi Bam said the opening of the Kigali office is a landmark achievement for Deloitte Africa.

"We now have a physical presence in 34 countries and service 51 countries across the African continent. This cements our commitment to ensuring our clients have seamless service across the continent," said Bam.
