Business Forums International (BFI), a professional networking firm previously owned by investment bank Houlihan Lokey, has joined BDO US as a subsidiary.

In a statement BDO US defined the acquired firm as a networking community for professional advisors with branches in 35 markets around the US which meet on a monthly basis.

BDO US chief executive Wayne Berson said that many BDO partners have benefitted from their membership in BFI branches through direct referrals and growth of their personal networks.

"We view BFI as the premier networking entity among professionals serving America’s middle market businesses. In bringing BFI under the BDO US brand, we are furthering our firm’s identity with our core market," Berson added.

BFI will be now headquartered in BDO’s office in Los Angeles, California.
