Scott Knight has been appointed to the head of audit and assurance for BDO UK, effective 1 April 2014.
Knight has been at the firm since 1993, and has previously let BDO’s audit offerings to listed clients and BDO’s natural resources sector offering.
As part of his role, Knight will be responsible for the delivery of BDO’s audit and assurance strategy, and will also join the firm leadership team.
BDO UK managing partner Simon Michaels noted: "We’re starting to see some of the much-needed change in the audit market and intend to make the most of opportunities that emerge."
Knight will report to Paul Eagland, former head of audit and assurance, who has been promoted to head of professional services and tax.
