BDO continues to extend the lead in the UK's total AIM ranking with a total net gain of five new clients this quarter, according to Adviser Rankings.

This leave BDO with a total of 171 clients, a 69 client lead above Grant Thornton, who come in at second place with 102. PwC come in at third place followed by KPMG in fourth.

In the FTSE AIM 100 client rankings, PwC come in first place with 24 clients followed by KPMG who registered an overall decline in index numbers, bringing them down to second place with 18 clients.

Deloitte held steady in third place with three client gains – a positive outcome from FTSE re-indexing – adding more clients at this level than any other auditor.

BDO remains steady in fourth place in the 100 client rankings.

PwC also extends their lead in the FTSE AIM 50 client rankings by taking first place following its appointment by venture capital specialist Draper Esprit. Deloitte remains steady in second place, followed by BDO and KPMG sharing third.
