Richard Payette has been appointed as chief executive for BDO’s America’s region, becoming a member of the company’s global leadership team and chairman of the Americas Board.

He has been with BDO Canada since 2010 as a member of the national management team and is responsible for the firm’s development through M&A activities.

He will continue the role part-time.

He has previously worked at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton in Quebec.

In his time at Grant Thornton International he was a member of the board of governors and the executive committee and also a member of the strategic review committee.
