During his training, Williams worked across several sectors, including banking and insurance.

Commenting on his appointment, Williams said: “The opportunity to work closely with ambitious business owners, supporting them through every stage of their business journey was a major draw. The breadth and variety of the role, together with the chance to work alongside such an experienced and well-respected team, made it an opportunity I was eager to be part of.

“My experience working with banking and insurance clients has given me a strong commercial foundation, and I am looking forward to building on that as I develop relationships with clients and help them achieve their strategic ambitions. I am excited to contribute to the continued success and growth of the corporate finance team.”

The appointment follows Clive Owen’s recent recruitment of Michael Dickens as corporate finance manager. The firm said the hiring forms part of “sustained investment”, alongside its move to larger premises in Newcastle and Darlington.

Clive Owen corporate finance partner Michael Cantwell said: “Our Corporate Finance team continues to build significant momentum, with a strong pipeline of transactions and increasing demand from businesses across the region.

“We remain committed to growing the team and investing in talented people who share our values and ambition, enabling us to continue delivering high-quality advice and support to clients at every stage of their business journey.”

Recently, the accounting and business advisory firm appointed Nathan Allan as consulting manager.

Clive Owen’s website states it has 15 partners and more than 150 people to support client work.
