The company has operated in Africa since 1997, combining international experience with local knowledge to support international companies, national businesses and public institutions.

Its work spans multiple industries, with services focused on helping clients manage the financial and regulatory environments in these markets.

Abacus Worldwide COO Jessica L. Levin said: “GPO Partners gives Abacus a meaningful new presence in Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo, strengthening our connections across Central Africa.

“As we have expanded our African membership over the past several years, adding a firm with established operations across three markets creates new opportunities for cross-border collaboration, referrals and knowledge sharing among our members.”

Earlier this year, Abacus Worldwide expanded its network in the continent with the addition of Enson Africa from Tanzania.

Based in Dar es Salaam, Enson Africa works with small, mid-sized and large businesses operating domestically as well as in the overseas markets.

It offers accounting and bookkeeping, audit and assurance, financial and tax advisory, forensic and fraud investigations, inventory verification, payroll and secretarial services.

Abacus Worldwide announced the addition of MPVR Offshore last month. MPVR operates from bases in the UK and South Africa, delivering outsourced audit and accounting services through teams based in South Africa.
