Bishop Fleming partner and chief people officer Anna Averis said: “We are thrilled to have a coveted position once again in the Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers.

“Being placed 17th nationally is a fantastic achievement and reflects the strength of the learning environment we have built for our apprentices, as well as the commitment of colleagues across the firm who provide a nurturing, progressive environment and support them every step of the way.

“Apprenticeships remain a vital part of how we attract, develop and retain talent from the ground up for the future.”

The company said apprenticeships form a key strand of its “wider people strategy”, offering structured progression, professional training and career routes across its nine offices.

Bishop Fleming reported that 74 apprentices joined in the past year, its sixth straight year of growth in apprentice intake.

Its Level 7 programme has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating across all five assessed aspects, the company added.

The apprentices receive a tailored 100-day induction, ongoing support and training via the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Bishop Fleming managing partner Andrew Sandiford said: “Apprentices bring fresh thinking, ambition and energy into our business, and they are an important part of our long-term growth strategy.

“This recognition underlines the value of continuing to invest in high-quality apprenticeship opportunities and demonstrates that Bishop Fleming is providing an environment where talented people can build successful careers from day one.”

Last month, Bishop Fleming appointed three new partners at its Birmingham office.
