He will coordinate with the company’s regional teams to grow its NFP audit work across charities, social housing providers, educational bodies and other public-interest organisations.

The company has also appointed Tim Thackaberry as valuations partner in its advisory practice, a newly established position. He will deliver non‑contentious valuation support to audit and tax clients.

In addition, Birmingham office lead Mark Taylor has joined the partnership.

Previously regional managing partner at RSM, he initially joined Bishop Fleming as a consultant and has been closely involved in setting up and expanding the Birmingham office.

Taylor said: “It has been a privilege to help launch something new to the West Midlands market over the last 15 months.

“My appointment as a partner cements my ambition to continue that journey with Bishop Fleming and continue building something fresh in the mid-market space. I am excited for what the future holds for our business.”

Bishop Fleming said the appointments reinforce its senior leadership in the city and support plans to build Birmingham into a key regional base.

The latest additions take the number of partners in the office to eight, with nearly 30 people now working at the site.

In February this year, Bishop Fleming picked Giles Derry as its first non-executive chair.
