The merger positions AMS Group as a provider of accounting services to more than 300 GP practices and 2,500 healthcare professionals across the nation. 

BW Medical Accountants is known for its expertise in NHS pensions, GP advisory, and medical compliance with specialisation in medical accountancy and taxation.  

The firm is also a member of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA).  

Its client base includes various healthcare professionals such as dentists, GP provider companies, consultants, hospital doctors, locums and more than 100 GP practices.

Key executives from BW Medical Accountants David Elliot, Keith Taylor and Mark Dempsey FCA, will remain with the company.  

The acquisition introduces more than 30 new specialists to AMS Group’s Healthcare Division, which now comprises a team of over 100 professionals dedicated to the medical sector. 

In the post, AMS Group said: “We’re excited to build on BW Medical’s strong reputation and continue delivering sector-leading services together.” 

This latest acquisition is AMS Group’s fifth in a series of strategic moves over the last 18 months.  

Set up in 1982, the group offers a range of services including audit, accounting, tax, advisory, corporate finance, and business recovery, catering primarily to mid-market clients, the company’s LinkedIn page stated.
