BKR International has announced new board members for its worldwide board and three regional boards, effective 1 July, 2024.

Continuing what they described as a “proud tradition of global leadership in the accounting and advisory industry”, BKR board members are elected by association membership. Each board contributes to defining the business trends, insights and strategies necessary to help independent member firms thrive.

In an official statement, BKR International noted: “We extend our appreciation to the following board members for their dedication and valuable contributions to the organisation.”

Worldwide board:

  • Martin Phelan (Melbourne), an existing Asia-Pacific Regional Board member from Walker Wayland Advantage, has been named Asia-Pacific Regional Board Chair and joined the Worldwide Board
  • Roland Schiff-Martini (Frankfurt) is a new board member from Schiff-Martini & Cie. GmbH
  • Erik Koetje (Arnhem, Netherlands) is a new board member from Flynth Adviseurs & Accountants B.V.

Americas regional board:

  • Jim McConnery (Ottawa, Canada) is a new board member from Welch LLP
  • Chris Ward (Louisville, KY) is a new board member from DMLO (non-voting)

Asia-Pacific regional board:
