Canadian MNP is set to merge with Edmonton
based firm Capital Business Solutions (CBS).
CBS specialises in accounting, tax and
consulting services for energy, natural resources and manufacturing
sectors.
The merger, effective from 1 September, will
add eight staff to MNP’s corporate finance division, a subsidiary
of MNP.
“This merger allows us to strategically grow
the firm by adding more resources and expertise to better serve the
needs of the marketplace. As with MNP, CBS has a strong mid-market
focus and we’re looking forward to working together to better serve
our clients,” MNP chief executive Daryl Ritchie said.
This is the latest in a string of MNP mergers
in the last 3 months which includes insolvency firms Stern Cohen
Shier and Herpers Chagani Gowling, as well as accountancy firm
Retford Lane Bates.
