Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce announced that accountancy firm MHA has expanded its team with the appointment of five new members, recruited to foster the future of accountancy.
The new recruits—placement student Ethan Donald and graduates Kate Wolska, Emily McLauchlan, Katie McLeod, and Jonathan Shek—have commenced their roles at the firm’s Carden Place offices in Aberdeen.
These new trainees are under the guidance of MHA audit and accounts manager Louise Smith, who herself was the firm’s first-ever student placement some 27 years ago.
Smith completed her placement with MHA and later earned her Accountancy and Finance degree from Robert Gordon University, proceeding to become a qualified chartered accountant with ICAS.
Smith said: “It’s so satisfying to help the students start their journey. It’s also great that many placement students come back to us when they graduate.
“We’re so proud of our record in developing the careers of those coming into accountancy and know we’ll give our latest recruits the best possible experience.”
