PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has expanded its alliance with Anthropic to embed the Claude AI platform more deeply across its technology, deal execution and enterprise transformation work.
The expanded partnership will concentrate on three areas: agent-based technology builds, AI-native deal-making and the redesign of key corporate functions.

Experience unmatched clarity with a single platform that combines unique data, AI, and human expertise.
The ‘Office of the CFO’ is the first large-scale application of the work.
PwC is creating a Claude-native finance business group that combines its finance expertise with Anthropic’s tools including Claude in the productivity suite, Cowork and Claude Code.
Initially PwC acted as “customer zero”, testing Claude in journal entries, variance analysis, request for proposal responses and annual planning via Claude Code, while also helping Anthropic’s chief financial officer office with operations, controls and international payroll.
The first step involved launching Claude-native finance alongside its engineering and deals practices, initially targeting regulated sectors.
Live deployments already cover professional sports operations, insurance underwriting, mainframe modernisation, cybersecurity and human resources transformation.
Anthropic co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei said: “PwC has been leading AI’s expansion into the parts of the economy where accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable – financial services, healthcare, life sciences, cybersecurity – and the results are clear.
“We are excited to put Claude in the hands of hundreds of thousands of people across PwC’s workforce.”
The two companies are also working with clients to design future operating models in the consumer, financial services, healthcare, industrial, life sciences, private equity and technology sectors.
PwC US senior partner and CEO Paul Griggs said: “Our collaboration with Anthropic brings together advanced AI capabilities and PwC’s industry experience to help organisations move from exploration to enterprise-wide impact with greater confidence.”
Earlier this month, PwC expanded its collaboration with OpenAI to develop an AI-native finance function at enterprise scale using agentic AI overseen by humans.
