Miller Kaplan, a US-based public accounting firm, has announced the appointment of Steven Gin as a new partner in its Los Angeles office.

Gin has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting.

He will spearhead the launch of the firm’s Risk Advisory practice, expanding its service offerings to address client needs, the accounting firm said in a statement.

Gin’s career began in financial statement auditing before transitioning to IT auditing.

Over the past decade, he has focused on risk advisory, assisting clients with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, internal audits, and the design and testing of business processes and IT controls.

Gin said: “I’m thrilled to join the firm at such a pivotal time and to help bring new solutions that not only strengthen our service offerings but also create meaningful value for our clients.
