On 24th November, AICPA & CIMA will be hosting the third edition of its U.K. Women’s Global Leadership Summit in London. The summit will give women working in accounting, finance and business an opportunity to network with each other, meet new people and gain high-quality insights in an encouraging and engaging environment. It is part of AICPA & CIMA’s ongoing efforts to help women harness new opportunities in the workplace, empower them to grow to take charge of their career development and nurture future women leaders.

The event will include the following sessions:

  • Stepping into the CEO mindset
  • Top habits holding women back at work
  • The value of mentoring
  • How can your organisation view diversity and inclusion through the long-term lens
  • How can ESG help to break the gender bias

The summit will also feature a keynote address from diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) expert and thought leader, Rukasana Bhaijee. Rukasana is currently working to build a culture of inclusion and improve representation levels of underrepresented groups at Warner Brothers. She previously worked in similar roles at Google and EY. Prior to working in diversity and inclusion, Rukasana has ten years of experience in the financial services sector.

Melanie Janine Kanaka, FCMA, CGMA, CIMA President and Co-Chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, said, “We are delighted to be hosting Rukasana Bhaijee at the Global Leadership Summit. Delegates will be keen to hear the insights she has gained working to improve levels of diversity, equality and inclusion at elite organisations. In order to thrive in the modern business environment, we all need to ensure that we are building the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion deep into our organisations at every level, and Ruksana is at the forefront of this movement.”
