The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) has named Greg Ferrari as its new executive director for performance and transformation.

In his new role, Ferrari will head the finance, IT, project management, and people teams within AAT.

AAT CEO Sarah Beale said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Greg to AAT as our new Executive Director of Performance and Transformation.

“Greg brings extensive experience in both delivering operational excellence and securing transformational change that lasts. His appointment completes our executive leadership team as we implement our 2030 vision.

“Greg’s contribution will be critical as we secure future relevance, drive up professional standards, and build AAT as a responsible business modelling best practice leadership for our sector.”

Ferrari’s most recent position was at Advance HE, where he held the titles of chief operating officer and chief transformation officer.

At Advance HE, Ferrari is said to have played an instrumental role in modernising IT systems and embedding “industry-leading processes” for financial and strategic planning.

Ferrari’s experience is further bolstered by his time at Pearson, where he played a crucial role in establishing a network of multilingual support teams across four continents.

These teams were instrumental in managing more than three million customer contacts and supporting Pearson’s annual turnover of £1.5bn ($1.8bn).

Greg Ferrari said: “I’m excited to be joining AAT at this pivotal moment in its development. Its 2030 Strategy shows a clear commitment to understanding and adapting to the needs of members and students, both now and in the future.

“I look forward to contributing to AAT’s continued success in delivering value to its 118,000 members and students.

“I’m motivated by making a positive impact – helping others to unlock potential and expand horizons through learning and professional development.”
