BDO International has added JF Group in Myanmar and Sylvester Leong & Co in Brunei to its network.
JF Group provides audit, accounting and financial consultancy services. It is led by Wan Tin and was established in Yangon in 1990. Wan is a member of the central executive committee of the Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has previously worked with PwC’s Myanmar representative U Hla Tun & Associates.
Sylvester Leong & Co is one of Brunei’s larger chartered accountancy firms according to BDO International. The network said the addition it will complement BDO Consulting Sdn Bhd which was set up in 2012 to provide advisory services in Brunei.
BDO International Asia Pacific chief executive Stephen Darley said: "with Myanmar opening its doors to the world and the formation of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, BDO intends to be part of this region’s growth and will play a central role in supporting our clients’ operations as the AEC develops."
