Deloitte has appointed Jane Whitlock as the chair of its UK Board of Directors following approval by the company’s partners.
The appointment will be effective from 1 June.

Whitlock is currently a partner in the Audit and Assurance practice based in the Midlands.
Deloitte UK Nominations Committee chair Cindy Chan said: “I am pleased to confirm Jane Whitlock as chair of Deloitte UK.
“She brings a wealth of experience in governance roles and will be instrumental in continuing to ensure the robust governance of our firm.”
Over her career with the company, Whitlock has acted as audit partner to a number of major and complex UK businesses, with a particular focus on the retail and energy sectors.
Her previous leadership posts include Midlands practice senior partner, Midlands audit head and talent lead.
Since 2022, Whitlock has held a series of governance responsibilities across Deloitte’s UK and regional structures.
These include serving on the Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) board, chairing the Audit & Risk Committee and sitting on the UK Oversight Board, the UK Audit Governance board, the UK Partnership Council and the UK Partnership Committee.

Alongside Whitlock’s appointment, Deloitte partners Clare Mortimer, Dean Cook, James Byles, Jane Boardman, Karen McNicholls, Matt Cheetham, Pauline Biddle, Shaun Curtis and Udit Gandhi have been elected to the UK board.
The board will also include four independent non-executives in non-voting positions.
Recently, Deloitte UK strengthened its real estate and infrastructure practice in the North West with the appointment of Zoe Watters as partner.
