BDO International has appointed Semaan, Gholam
& Co as its new member firm in Lebanon.

Former Lebanese member Fiduciaire du Moyen
Orient has left the network following an ‘amicable agreement’,
according to BDO International.

Semaan, Gholam & Co has 90 staff members and partners based in
Beirut.

BDO International chief executive Jeremy
Newman said the firm specialises in audit, which “accounts for the
large majority of the firm’s income.”

Newman also said the firm has seen substantial
growth in the past three years with more than a 10% increase in fee
income.

BDO Lebanon’s international liaison partner
Antoine Gholam said the firm is looking to “enhance our service
offering through collaboration with BDO firms both across the
Middle East region and further afield.”
