Operating from the company’s London base, Binks counsels domestic and cross-border enterprises.
The clientele spans mid-sized to large privately held companies in industries such as property, retail, food and beverage, and hospitality.
Binks will offer compliance and consulting services covering taxation, audit, statutory accounting, financial reporting and commercial strategy.
He is also affiliated with Saffery’s real estate practice group.
Saffery managing partner Darren Drake said: “Paul’s promotion reflects the significant contribution he has made to the firm.
“He is technically strong, highly collaborative and builds international relationships, which is increasingly important to our clients.
“As we continue to invest in our sector capabilities, Paul will play a key role in supporting our clients through their next phase of growth.”
Binks joined Saffery in 2016. Since joining, he has collaborated with member operators within the Nexia international network across the US, Europe, Asia and Australia.
His promotion follows three partner appointments made by the company in April: Jake Stanmore in London, Harry Kendall in Edinburgh and Peter Boyle in Dublin.
Saffery provides tax and business advice to companies, partnerships, individuals and not-for-profit organisations.
In July, Saffery appointed four senior tax professionals across its offices in Edinburgh and Inverness in Scotland.
The appointments were aimed at bolstering the company’s capabilities in corporate tax and professional partnerships.
