Austria, France and India have each put forward a bid to host the World Congress of Accountants in 2022, The Accountant and International Accounting Bulletin have learnt.
The Accountant and International Accounting Bulletin understands that a decision will be taken by June of this year and the host will be announced at the 2018 World Congress of Accountants in Sydney in November 2018.
The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) declined to comment on who nominated and the process for awarding the Congress.
