An inspection to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations hosts Cameroon has been postponed by the Confederation of African Football after PwC withdrew from the engagement.
PwC global forwarded International Accounting Bulletin enquiry on which firm was concerned and the nature of the engagement it withdrew from, to PwC France who said they wouldn’t comment at this stage.
Initial reports had suggested that the PwC firm had pulled out due to security concerns.
But in an opinion piece on the website Newsghana, Patrick Doamekpor suggested that PwC Nigeria pulled out of the engagement after PwC Cameroon had asked “to bend rules and lower standards”.
