Baker Tilly International US firm BlumShapiro and German firm Baker Tilly Roefls have completed a merger and acquisition respectively.
BlumShapiro’s merger is with firm Friedman, Suvalle & Salomon PC (FSS), based in Newton, Massachusetts.

FSS had 30 staff, and its services included consulting, accounting, tax and financial services.
Since entering the Massachusetts market two years ago, Blumshapiro has gained offices in Boston, Quincy and Newton, adding to its already established presence in West Hartford and Shelton, Connecticut and Providence, Rhode Island.
In Germany Baker Tilly Roefls has acquired Dusseldorf and Leipzig firm Karl Berg, and its affiliated companies Bedenbecker & Berg in Essen and KSR in Ennepetal.
Karl Berg provided auditing, tax and transaction consulting services. As part of the acquisition, Karl Berg staff in Dusseldorf and Leipzig will be relocated to Roefls’ offices.
