
Grant Thornton has bolstered its Growth Advisory services practice with the hiring of Matt Fish as a principal.
Fish will spearhead the firm’s Market Study and Commercial Due Diligence practice.
He has been working in the strategy consulting space for more than 25 years, particularly in industrial products.
With a bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University, his expertise is expected to enhance the firm’s market studies for diligence projects.
Fish’s appointment is part of Grant Thornton’s transaction support services, encompassing corporate development strategy and pre-closing diligence that spans commercial, financial, tax, IT, human capital, and supply chain functions.
Additionally, the firm provides transaction management support, including separations and carve-outs, along with integration planning, execution, and value creation capture.

Operating out of New York City, Fish’s background includes more than 300 commercial due diligence projects for industrial companies in North America, Asia, and Europe.
His previous roles include the global leader of commercial due diligence at KPMG and the global chair of industrial products and services at OC&C Strategy Consultants.
As a partner at EY-Parthenon, Fish led the Asian Strategy Consulting practice and was a key figure in the US Industrials leadership team.
Fish also spent 16 years in Asia, where he established New Pacific Consulting, later acquired by The Parthenon Group.

In November 2024, Mariane Nifas Dietrich was appointed as audit director within the audit practice of Grant Thornton Channel Islands.
Dietrich brings 18 years of cross-jurisdictional experience from the Channel Islands, Hong Kong, China, and the Philippines.
