Professional services network Forvis Mazars has named Neil Lawrinson as partner, head of UK audit methodology, based in its Manchester office.
In his new role, Lawrinson will lead the UK audit methodology team, supporting Forvis Mazars in delivering audit quality and enhancing client experience.

Lawrinson returns to Forvis Mazars after spending four years at the ICAEW quality assurance department.
In that previous role, he reviewed non-PIE (public interest entity) audits across a range of firms, which provided him with practical knowledge of audit quality controls and regulatory requirements.
Neil said: “I’m thrilled to return to Forvis Mazars in a role that combines my passion for audit quality with the opportunity to innovate. Our focus will be on sustaining improvements, simplifying risk-based processes, and leveraging technology, including AI, to enhance both quality and efficiency.”

Earlier this October, Forvis Mazars announced the appointment of ten new partners in its UK offices as part of workforce investment efforts within the company.
Of the new partners, four started their careers at Forvis Mazars.
The newly appointed partners cover a range of specialisations, including audit, tax, and financial planning services.
