Deloitte Romania has named Razvan Ungureanu as the new partner-in-charge in its Audit and Assurance practice, effective December 2025. 

The appointment follows the end of Steve Openshaw’s term in the position.

Ungureanu, an audit partner with more than 17 years of experience, began his career with Deloitte as a graduate in 2008.  

He has worked up through all levels within the firm, progressing to partner in 2023 before being selected for this new leadership role. 

Throughout his time at Deloitte, Ungureanu has contributed to projects with both national and international businesses.  

His work covers sectors such as energy and resources, manufacturing, consumer products, agribusiness, and automotive industries.

In addition to core audit responsibilities, Ungureanu has held several other posts over recent years.  

These include serving as energy and resources industry group leader, audit quality leader and taking on talent management functions for both Romania and Central Europe.

In September 2025, three senior professionals were promoted to director roles at Deloitte Romania.  

Laura Bobar stepped into the role of tax director, Alexandru Nae as advisory director, and Florin Dumitrescu was named audit and assurance director. 

Deloitte Romania provides services that include tax, audit, legal matters (through Reff & Associates | Deloitte Legal), consulting, financial advisory, business processes, risk advisory, technology services, and related fields.  

The organisation employs 3,300 staff members across these operations.
