With Carter’s promotion, the company aims to bolster its specialist tax advisory support for partnerships, limited liability partnerships and their partners.

Carter has more than 14 years of experience and focuses on professional practices and partner taxation including salaried members rules, tax reserves and cross‑border expansion.

He joined the company in 2011 and heads Crowe’s annual Law Firm Benchmarking Report.

Carter said: “I am delighted to join the partnership at Crowe. As I mark my 15th year with the firm, I am genuinely excited to continue my journey here and to play a key role in driving the ongoing growth and future development of our Professional Practices team.

“The UK professional practices sector remains resilient, with firms pursuing growth through consolidation, international expansion and the development of specialist UK teams.

“At the same time, they are navigating regulatory change, succession challenges and evolving client expectations – an environment in which Crowe is well-placed to support clients.”

Meanwhile, Copp has more than 15 years of experience. He advises business owners, shareholders and management teams on sell‑side and buy‑side deals, as well as capital‑raising transactions, generally in the £10m–50m range.

Copp also serves as the company’s life sciences and healthcare industry lead.

Crowe UK chief executive Nigel Bostock added: “We are pleased to welcome Charlie and Ben to the partnership as the firm continues to strengthen and deepen its expertise and capabilities.

“Both promotions reflect the depth of talent within Crowe and our commitment to supporting businesses and professional practices with sector‑led, insight‑driven advice.

“Their experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to invest in our core growth areas.”

Earlier this month, Crowe UK picked Mark Dyer as a partner in its national Value-Added Tax, Customs and International Trade team.
