Cowgills noted that Lord’s appointment aligns with a period of significant growth for the business recovery team.
The expansion follows the recruitment of Steve Marshall as a case administrator, and the promotions of Janette Elliott to director and Hannah Brown to assistant manager earlier this year.
Cowgills partner Craig Johns said: “We are delighted to welcome Keeley to the team. She brings a wealth of experience, a proven track record, and a broad range of specialisms that will allow us to support even more businesses across the North West and beyond.”

By GlobalDataCommenting on her new role, Lord said: “Cowgills has an outstanding reputation in the region, and I’m excited to join at such a pivotal time in their growth journey. My passion lies in helping businesses navigate challenging circumstances and get back on the right track. I am looking forward to working with the team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.”
In addition to these developments, Cowgills has furthered its expansion by acquiring NRB, an accountancy practice based in Wigan.
The acquisition increased Cowgills’ total workforce to more than 250 employees across the region.
In September of 2024, Cowgills was chosen by the Octagon Theatre in Bolton to act as its auditor and business advisor.
Located in Bolton town centre, the Octagon Theatre reopened in May 2021 following extensive redevelopment, having originally been established in the 1960s.
