Her earlier professional career included a substantial period working within the Big Four accountancy firms.

Over her 20-year career, Hockney has counselled international high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, and families on tax structuring, wealth preservation, and statutory compliance.

Her practice centres particularly on the personal tax consequences of marriage breakdown and divorce, which served as the core focus of HockneyGrey Consulting.

In this field, she liaises directly with family law solicitors and mediators to provide taxation advice to parties participating in financial remedy proceedings.

Commenting on her appointment, Hockney said: “I am delighted to be joining Buzzacott and excited to start this next stage of my career as part of such a highly regarded Private Client team.

“I look forward to continuing to provide a high valued, compassionate service to our clients as well as working to bring Buzzacott’s broad expertise and resources together to further the professional support we can provide to clients undergoing divorce or separation.”

Buzzacott Private Client head Akin Coker said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jackie to our team. Our clients’ affairs are becoming increasingly complex, often spanning several jurisdictions, generations and situations.

“Jackie has spent her career advising clients through these challenging scenarios, and her appointment means we can support clients across an even wider range of circumstances.”
