UK-based accountancy group bk plus has further expanded in the South East by bringing Kent-based Aggarwal & Co Chartered Accountants, incorporating Foreman Waller & Edwards & Co, into the group.

Aggarwal & Co, led by senior partner Anil Aggarwal, advises a broad mix of owner-managed businesses from its three locations in Rainham, Sheerness and Ashford.

Staff will remain in their existing offices and continue working with the same clients, now as part of bk plus.

Aggarwal said:  “This was an important decision for us. Our focus has always been on our clients and the relationships we have built over time.

“We wanted to find a partner that would allow us to keep that approach, while giving us the ability to offer more when our clients need it.

“Nothing changes for our clients in terms of who they deal with or how we work together. What has changed is the range of support we can now put in front of them.”

bk plus operates more than 55 offices and employs over 900 people across the UK, working with small and medium-sized enterprises and owner-managed businesses.

The addition of the Kent company builds on the group’s South East presence alongside existing teams in Chiswick and High Wycombe.

bk plus CEO Shaun Knight said: “We have had a strong start to the year, and bringing Aggarwal & Co into the group is another great step forward for us.

“What stood out straight away was the strength of the relationships Anil and his team have built with their clients. That local trust is exactly what we look for.

“For businesses across Kent, it is important to be clear. Nothing changes day to day. You will still work with the same people who know your business. As we continue to grow across the South East, we are able to offer more to clients while keeping that local approach.”

In March this year, bk plus moved into the London market with the acquisition of Freeman Carr.
