BDO UK Audit Optimisation (Digital) director Emily Howard said: “We chose to partner with MindBridge because of its strong, proven analytics capabilities.
“This partnership will transform how we deliver audits – making them even more data-led and enabling richer insight from large, complex data sets.
“We are delighted to add this capability to our existing ecosystem of tooling, the BDO Advantage, as we continue to strengthen audit quality and stay at the forefront of the profession’s evolution.”
The collaboration follows a pilot phase after which BDO UK decided to extend the use of MindBridge technology across its audit practice.
Wider deployment is scheduled to support upcoming year-end engagements.
MindBridge’s software will be applied to areas such as general ledger testing, where it will assist audit teams in detecting anomalies, patterns and transactions that may warrant further attention.
This approach will allow auditors to concentrate on higher-risk areas and spend more time on judgement and estimates, improving overall audit quality.
MindBridge Audit & Assurance Solutions general manager Sarah McGinnity said: “BDO UK has a clear vision for the future of audit – combining deep professional expertise with advanced technology to strengthen quality and deliver greater value to clients.
“We are excited to support that vision and help BDO UK accelerate its data-driven audit approach.”
The agreement adds to MindBridge’s existing work with other BDO member companies including BDO Norway and BDO South Africa.
BDO is the UK member company of the BDO international network. It operates from 17 UK locations.
BDO recently appointed Al Milne as a partner in its tax practice, bolstering its Share Plans and Incentives offering in Manchester.
